Earl Dixon
If it's boogie and Blues piano and vocals you want then Earl Dixon is the 'Real Deal!' He began playing boogie-woogie piano with two fingers at the age of four, but has improved considerably since then.
Earl was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. He began performing professionally in 1980 in Northern California, and has shared the stage at one time or another with a wide variety of musical talent, including Bonnie Raitt, Elvin Bishop, Jose Feliciano, Commander Cody, Burl Ives, Barry McGuire, Randy Sparks, The Coasters, The Ford Brothers Blues Band, and others. He has laid down piano tracks for recordings as well, most notably backing John Lee Hooker on an album produced by Michael Osborne.
Dixon has toured with various bands throughout the United States, playing blues, rock 'n' roll, and country music to a wide variety of audiences, high-born and otherwise. He has appeared on national television in the U.S., and has played in France, Italy, the UK, Thailand, Canada, Mexico, and Ecuador. In Northern California he has most recently been playing with the blues band, "The Burning Sensations." Although generally preferring the genre of blues and boogie-woogie, Dixon also dabbles in jazz, rock, country and folk music.
