The Silver Dogs
The Silver Dogs are a band playing progressive folk rock (frock?) based in the North West of England.
Although they have a highly original sound, Silver Dogs are basically a folk rock band, as they specialise in taking traditional songs and tunes from all parts of the British Isles as a base point for their stage and recorded material.
They have a huge diversity of experiences, backgrounds and influences, the treatments and arrangements of the material can cover anything from acoustic folk to progressive rock, and beyond!
The Dogs’ also cover a small number of songs by other artists, most notably Sandy Denny, Lal Waterson and Antje Duvekot.
